Awwww why not!!? BECAUSE THE DEVELOPERS GOT LAZY AND SAID NO!! But to be honest they still did a whole ****ing lot.
I don’t think it’s because they were lazy, I’m pretty sure it was cut for gameplay reasons. Namely because it would disturb the overall feel and balance of the game. Portal 2 isn’t meant to be an action game, despite there being certain climactic parts you’re supposed to be able to calmly solve puzzles and stand in one place for as long as you wish during the test chambers. If the turrets were mobile it would disturb that.It’s also complex to rig, animate and create a virtual intelligence for them. I can understand why they went with the classic turrets instead.
